Topic: login trouble

Posted under General

whenever I try to log in no my laptop I get to a screen saying "you are not logged in" which gives me the alternatives of logging in, resetting password and something else which I don't remember.

I can only really get on here at my university which isn't really optimal in any way xD I lack WiFi at home, so I can't use my phone there :P

I can't get on my mail as well so it might just be my computer. as you may understand, I can't reply to this very often. so just hypothesize and I'll try things out. :3

thanks in advance :D

Better check that, also try a different browser, if the other one works it is a setting in your browser.

I've tried all my browsers to no avail. I've tried clearing cash and stuff like that as well as reinstalling my browser (opera)

none of those things works so I'm stumped. :ł

Did you try starting them with admin rights or as another user?

Also did you check if you have any cookies/browser cache at all? Might be some problem with read/write rights.

I get that sometime when I clear my Browser cache.

Get CCleaner cause you can wipe your cookies and temp stuff BUT keep a list of cookies you want to keep.

[x]Accept cookies from sites
---[x]Accept third-party cookies
----keep until they [expire]

I've tried everything you've said. but it's not very effective.

I'm on XP if that matters.

shouldn't. only thing I really can think of is your isp is caching your browser visits to save them bandwidth (don't laugh, I've seen this happen a lot in european isps)

hm, they did do this, haven't heard about it in a couple years but that may also be a problem.

Kimpumomo, could you try connecting your computer through some other network to the internet? If you have a smartphone and a dataplan maybe through your phone, you could them test if it's your isp.
