I haven't seen anyone talk about this, so I thought I'd ask myself. I don't even know if people still read the forum either, but I'm still giving it a shot. Excuse me if I'm in the wrong category.

I'm sure I've seen over a hundred reposts of images lately, with their original post being deleted. I've never seen it happen this frequently (or pretty much not at all) and really want to know what is going on, since I use order:score to search for images with high score a lot.

I've compared some of the reposts with their original image posts and see no diffrence in resolution or whatsoever. Tags (and source?) can be edited at any time, so I'm really at a loss why these reposts are necessary.

I was wondering that too; I've been generally befuddled to find art that I favorited months ago back at the top of the page for what seems like no reason at all.

TBH, I always assumed that there was some sort of glitch that sorted certain pieces back to the top of the page because of some quirk in the system.

Huh, doesn't seem too realistic to me, but who knows! could be true.

Honestly all I want is just the older posts' stats to be transferred to their new reposts. (Score, favorites, comments etc)
Would be great if they somehow recovered the deleted stuff and did that.

post #1264488 is 1740x2123 (422.4 KB). It replaced post #569661 which was 1280x1562 (296 KB).

Favorites are transferred. Transferring score: forum #235893. Transferring comments: forum #216197.

First example: first child was censored, second child was uncensored but smaller, newest child was blurred around the point of intercourse. The raw image upload is superior.

Second example: only child post was smaller (1280x1562) than raw parent post (1740x2123). The raw image upload is superior.

We are currently unable to do this aside from favorites due to software limitations.
