Topic: About "Low quality submissions"

Posted under General

This topic has been locked.

My last post about this was locked, so I have to make a new topic regarding this issue as it was still not solved. I've read the guidelines for posting and my images do not fall into those categories. They're at least +2 MB with more than 2000x2000 resolution, I'm having hard time seeing how's that a "low quality post". Did my posts get compressed by website and I had to just update the submission again? I'm genuinely confused... Some of my posts stayed, despite the fact they're identical to quality of posts that got deleted...

Example of one of deleted posts, found on my DA

While this post #1591993 stayed.

Any help and/or explanation appreciated.

Just to repeat what was already said on forum #258961, they probably got deleted for their "artistic quality" rather than the "file quality", read through this for more info - forum #235851.

Also post #1591993 stayed because it hasn't been checked by a moderator yet. It is still pending approval from a mod and may be deleted if it's not up to standards.

But however, one of my art pieces got uploaded by someone else, approved by moderator and that was 3 months ago. So if my images aren't high enough in artistic quality, how come this one went through just fine? It still doesn't make sense. I am very certain that images of lesser "artistic quality" of mine are still on this site, because honestly, I didn't know e621 has a such a high standard for uploaded content and for what is seen as an appropriate art, compared to what I've seen being posted here.

But in any way, I get the sign. I suppose this website is not for promotion of artists, just a network for higher quality art and my posts unfortunately do not fall into that category as it seems.

Might be on your end. Some programs like GIMP and PaintNet are "touchy." Just because it seems right, dosen't mean it always is. I've had problems myself, but with actual photos and not drawings.

The tools themselves don't really make any difference that practice and study won't outdo.

That's correct, but most people don't bother in exploring, experimenting, or getting to know their tools before using them. They're not perfect and each has their share of limitations, even the high-dollar ones.

When an admin locks a thread it's not invitation for you to just make another thread about the same issue.
