Topic: Correct Fox Genitalia Tags?

Posted under General

To cover what I mean by correct fox genitalia tags,

I see a lot of dog genitalia being put on foxes, and then being labeled with anatomically_correct_genitalia, anatomically_correct_penis and anatomically_correct_pussy.

Foxes don't have dog genitalia, and I'm wondering if I should just label these as animal_genitalia, canine_genitalia, canine_penis and canine_pussy.

I hope this also brings awareness to the fact that foxes don't have dog genitalia, because it'd be nice to see more anatomically correct fox art.

probably is added because fox and dog genitalia do appear to look the same in real life, may slightly differ in the shape of the knot but not much else. They do come from the same family as wolves, dogs and jackals...

They look the same but on a smaller scale i dunno what foxes youre looking at that makes you think otherwise lmao

Fox penises look extremely similar, just tiny. Dog penises in general can vary pretty widely in exact shape (not to mention the various ways people stylize them), so minor differences will just look like a variation of a dog penis. Fox vulvas don't seem to get that gigantic puffy 'spade' look, but neither do all dogs.

Thats actually mainly based on oestrus cycles more than species

It's mostly the vulva I'm focusing on. A fox vulva is very small and flat compared to most dogs. That's what bugs me the most, when someone tags an obvious puffy canine vulva as anatomically correct for a fox.
As I've been developing my skills in art, size is becoming much more relevant and apparent to me, so these differences all count.

Not quite, at least from the materials available from fox breeders, fox vulvas in heat just aren't that dramatic. Regardless, it still has similar anatomy, just smaller and less exaggerated.

The problem is that differences in size aren't accounted for in anatomically_correct tags. While a dog vulva's proportions might be closer to hyper on a fox, the shape is still somewhat accurate and that's what gets tagged. An accurately drawn and sized fox vulva will still look to be within the reasonable range of individual variation and stylization of a general canine vulva.

fox junk is p much same as dog junk but in smaller size. i think that nitpicking this much about the sizes of fox vags is kinda unnecessary considering that realistic sizes in this site are not exactly the most common sight...

Thank you, I think that answers my question.

I nitpick because getting the correct size proportions in my own art is important to me.
