I'm not speaking in *any* official capacity, but I would imagine that you can do as you like in your PRIVATE messages, as long as whoever you're talking with is happy and content to receive and participate in whatever conversations you'd like to have. I am pretty positive that no one is going to root through your private messages without good reason--if it's even possible. So the method of being caught would be if someone you were messaging reported you for being creepy.

That said, I'd still suggest that if you want to get into more personal conversations that you use an external website or program.

Pretty sure when the rules say "Do not RP" they mean, "At all."

RP is allowed in the privacy of dmails.

Obviously if the other person tells you to stop you're expected to stop. If you don't they can report you for harassment.
