Topic: question on one of snaketrap's comic

Paid content = DNP
Posting DNP = Can get you banned
Do calculations from that.

Linking to paid material is also againts the rules, so if I were you I would retract those links ASAP.

Does seem like artist who have just vanished everywhere. Galleries either deactivated, deleted or unupdated, then websites all just 404. Altough according to google that comic is already mirrored on pretty much all piracy sites there is.

so it pirated then, thanks for clearing that out. though i wasn't arguing if paid contents was DNP or not if that how it came out as. just if it was "public"

No, it just was so clear case of the content being paid material that I didn't understand why it was being asked. I guess it might be less obvious when you aren't looking at these things nearly daily.

Of course there are cases where stuff has been posted freely in the past but artist removing it afterwards, however it was clearly and plainly saying it on the page that the content isn't free. At that point you would need to provide link to artists original source where it was being distributed freely, which doesn't seem to be possible at this point. Alternatively provide confirmation or permission from artist.

This is why I always strongly advice not to post content from third party sources and if you do find neat content there, sourcing the content from artists own source will always be most preferred. This not only clears up all confusion, but also quarantees that the material is untampered. Because most of these piracy related sites compress the living hell out of the material so they don't need to pay for hosting/bandwidth and can serve just fuckload of ads instead.

Well, overall I guess the original question was answered. Just wanted to make things clearer in case someone bumps into this thread.
