Topic: Difference Between Approved and Unapproved Posts?

Posted under General

I'm new to uploading and have been looking up stuff where I can, but I'm still not exactly sure what approved posts differ from unapproved posts. Are they only for getting uploaders a higher/lower upload limit? Is it just a moderation thing? Are unapproved posts hidden in some ways? If anyone has any idea and can tell me, I'd be grateful!

Approval is a process where staff go through and verify that the image should be on the website, is not a duplicate and is not against the no pay content rules(along with every other rule). Posts are not hidden while they are unapproved.

Approved posts increase your upload limit, while unapproved posts count against it for the duration they are unapproved. It's a self regulating trust system.

To those browsing the website, there is no difference between an approved and unapproved post.
