Topic: bulk upload

Is there a way to upload a bunch of images at once? I have like 50 images to put up (yes, I checked to see if they are already here and if they are DNP).

I know I can only do 10/day but is there a way I can do all 10 at one go?

There is an e621 mass uploader, known as the Tony Fox Uploader. I use it all the time for my mass uploads.

Unfortunately, as of tonight it's currently offline for an unknown reason, perhaps they're having server issues, idk :(

Other than the (currently temporarily unavailable) tony uploader, I don't know of any other mass uploaders.

I would advice againts bulk uploaders as sourcing and tagging are as important as the image itself and doing those properly requires actual focusing on what you are uploading. Also with approvals the posts with proper and high amount of tags as well as proper sourcing are usually the ones that get approved much quicker.

Considering that you already got warning from bad tagging, going to bulk uploading sounds like it could make that problem worse.

As for the limit, once you have posts that have been approved, the limit increases. Simple malicious act prevention and making sure you know what you are doing.

Yeah, that's a fair response.

Personally I always make sure to properly source and tag all of my posts, bulk upload or not, but I didn't realize this user wasn't tagging properly. So yeah, in this case, bulk upload might not be right for them

Yeah, but they're in different contexts in different posts, and that can lead to undertagging due to this mass uploading.

They are! But, as Dice said, different context, different poses We want peopel to be able to find art easily if they want. If someone wanted to find the images of Cela you uploaded, they would have to already know her name.

We have a lot of tags around here, but it's REASLLY important to at least tag sex and species. After that, it's esential to hit tags like "breasts" and 'penis' and "sex" ... then things like "lying down" or "kimono" or "waving"

for things liek a reptile, breasts are really important to tag -- some people love 'em, some don't.

But the more tags you add the more people will find it later. with 5-10 tags, you're only gonna get people who are searching for big ideas -- like "Reptile" where they might have hundreds of posts a week to sort through -- but if someone wants, say, kimono-wearing, sake-drinking, scantily clad ladies... post #1648362 is PERFECT for them -- but they cna't find it if they haven't tagged it.
