Why's it so long? Is it really that hard to be on one's best behavior when on this site? I understand some of the mods abuse their power (and yes, they have and still do), but this is pretty ridiculous to me.

Especially when there're people on this side who've been here for years and have done all sorts of terrible things, and yet they've never been banned. But now it looks like people are being banned for the smallest of mistakes now.

First of all, you are being extremely salty about the user to first create forum #253082 and then less-than-subtely hint it on another forum thread right afterwards. Also I do like the notion of accusing staff of abusing their power without any actual mention of what has happened.

Do consider that many sites don't have easily accessible list of banned users or their count, so what might seem like absurd amount at first, might not actually be that much.

Remember that the list will contain all everything from the beginning of the site, so that's 11 years. That list will also contain all alt accounts of once banned people (I have seen people with over ten alts), spambots, trolls, etc. on top of those who have broken rules or caused trouble multiple times.

Considering that I've been there, done that, I know too well what it takes to get banned. Like Furballs had said, about 600 of those users are bot. I remember KiraNoot, the in-house dev-wizard for E6, had a hay-day trying to get a bot that was creating a crap-ton of bots blocked.

Don't forget those banned users who make upwards of 20+ alts which all get banned the same day usually.

What mostly confuses me: how do you catch people for underage when they haven't even commented?

There are hints. But the most important part is that the ones that do get caught like that are not very smart when signing up.

Blips, Profile, Cross-referencing with other sites they've registered on. USUALLY the mods are rather good about citing their sources. Usually.

Hell, There's been a few times I've caught underagers because they'll slipup and post something like, "My childhood is ruined!" when the r34 in question is based off a property that only came out a handful of years ago..

Maybe if you'd stop contributing...

That's not how it works.

Honestly I was almost certain it was ODBX. They always seem to count me among the "Worst of the worst" and always start a thread about it when there's been FAR worse people than me about. I just don't hold my punches and people tend to get their knickers in a knot over it.

Either way, Just goes to show what I was talking about when I mentioned "Alts of alts". That user's just one tip of why the banlist is so big. :P

Might be true, might not. Since no one wanted to claim ownership of those 4,741 random name spam accounts, I decided I would claim ownership.
