Is there a list of banned users up for public view
or is there a way to find banned accounts here?

An extremely weird question I know but wait, I can explain ╹‿╹;
Being the curious dood I am one of my favorite things to come
across this site are banned accounts and reading and discovering
how they were banned.

Partly so I know what to avoid doing in the
future so I don't end up on the banning chopping block myself and
mainly because every banned account has it's own story to them ya
know?

Like outside the alt account peeps who try to make a workaround for the
eternal sealing that is "Expires: Never". It's always a little mini-adventure seeing how things went before the 'Never' happened

And honestly, I really would like a better way of coming across
these internet tomes instead of randomly coming across
them in comments.

So if you don't mind me asking;
Is there a better way of finding them?

Barbados still makes me twitch in memory.

His ban has technically expired. he could come back. I find myself compulsively checking, just to make sure he hasn't returned.

Chances are his account fell victim to the great password database fuck up of '14, so if he also lost access to his email account we'd be safe.

so THAT'S why I couldn't log into my other account! (I had one for seeing things from a 'regular member' level) I went crazy the other day wondering HOW I had forgotten my password. Whew.

As for barbados--I hope. I pray. The world need never see his (oral) face again.

True, but then you miss the progression in places, where he finds a character he likes and you can FEEL the machine gun nature of his comments, just a firehose of creepy mediocrity. A dozen comments, all phrased as a question, all in a row: "can they... Can I... Can we..." beautiful

And sometimes you can really feel this.. like, innocence behind his words too. Like, I think this is one of my favorite comments:

I don't think he was ever...really malicious--just, really into commenting.

Turns out Husky has 8 positive records (most on the site)

And the highest negative records is also 8. It's also worth noting the closest person to Husky in terms of positive records is Rainbow who has only 6.

Also, in a bit more seriousness, it's the fact that he'd flood the site with dozens of comments all panting about the same thing.

Observe:

It's spam, and it's gross and creepy.

If you wish you could comment creepily, then you can blame this guy: When I originally reported him (Yes, it was me, mwahah) I called him a 'horrible commented'... for a while, the rule was just "don't be Barbados." ... There's a lot of bans in the era for "being barbados", but only some people who were being barbados were actually barbados.

Anyway, for fun (because if you couldn't tell, I love barbados about as much as I hate him :) ) Here were some of his ban evasion accounts:

and most of those in about the space of a month.

And those are only the ones I'm finding easily. Whew!

That's a pretty mind-boggling number of banned users/usernames. From what I've learned about places like this, someone would have to really go out of their way to piss people off, and they'd have to be deliberate in order to be permanently booted from a website. I've never had problems with any mods or members here. I just don't get it.

Compared to FA and DA we're actually pretty harsh with our "4 strikes against the same rule and you're out" policy. FA has like 6 suspensions and a warning before it becomes permanent.

Kinda interesting what kind of (ex-)users and reasons you come across there... the level of everyday toxicity happening on this page is appalling. Props to Ratte btw, I would have gone insane a long time ago dealing with this on a regular basis.

Well, I was actually just speaking in terms of following the basic rules of the site too. Not being creepy, not being an asshole, and "playing nice" with others while keeping posting guidelines in check. It's really not that hard to follow, at least for me. But I guess for others, it's pretty difficult.
