Guidelines state "video snippets from youtube" as in someone makes a gif or small loop from middle of some funny pony video from youtube.
Youtube videos as whole are in gray area as they aren't snippets anymore and youtube is simply another place to host video content and we do allow animated and video content - youtube even by default uses WebM format which we allow.
I handled approval of that post and deemed it to be acceptable here.
