I've been trying to blacklist my little pony, but nothing works.
Here are my tags for blacklisting:
My_little_pony
Friendship_is_magic
MLP
Copyright: My_little_pony
Copyright:My_little_pony
Copyright: Friendship_is_magic
Copyright:Friendship_is_magic
My little pony
Friendship is magic

Anyone know why it isn't working? When I search "horse" tons of MLP still shows up.

Have you tried lower-case, the way the tags actually are? The blacklist might be case-sensitive.

Blacklist is case sensitive, use my_little_pony instead of My_little_pony. And that's the only tag you need, you don't need any of the others.

You might also throw in friendship_is_magic in case somepony forgets one or the other.

Edit: Be aware that you need to put each individual tag you want to blacklist on a separate line. For instance

my_little_pony tentacles

will only block images containing the tags "my_little_pony" AND "tentacles."

my_little_pony
tentacles

will block all images containing EITHER tag.

You don't need to, friendship_is_magic implies my_little_pony.

I have the same problem except not with mlp. I made sure all tags are lower case and spelled correctly yet things like peeing and scat still show up when I search for non related topics. None of the tags I've blacklisted ever not appear, I have to manually omit/ -tag in the search but as a limited user I can only put 6 search terms before it says no

Yeah, clearly typed in scat to my blacklist, then typed in katia_managan and got a scat pick, said pick has a scat tag so... WTF.
I even read the part about blacklist syntax so that's not the problem.
Also, I am new here, I made an account just to make a blacklist. Can anyone explain "Clean" vs "Clean and sort"?

I typed in scat only, that single word, nothing else. Still showed up.

Do you have cookies enabled? Your blacklist won't work unless you have them enabled, or so I am told.

I'm blocking trackers but otherwise cookies are enabled.

"my_little_pony" works for everything for me.

Is the blacklist still case-sensitive, and did you make sure to use all-lowercase letters?

(My Javascript is rusty, otherwise I'd just prettify the minified code and read it for myself to answer the former.)

Naturally, blacklists only work if tags are fully entered in the first place. A lot of that may be due to a lack of knowledge that certain tags exist. Personally, I don't like to see larger breasts so I've blacklisted big_breasts. No problem, right? But it appears that most people posting don't realize that they can tag breast size (or any number of other adjectives). Some people don't even tag "breast", I've found. I spend half of my time tagging so that others with the same blacklist will get a pass. Once in a while, I'll lay a comment about it just as a little nudge but I'm trying hard to not be 'that guy', too. :p

Your blacklist was empty so I wrote it in there for you.

Also, be sure to have javascript enabled for our page and of course to click save after any changes you make to your blacklist.
