Why would you make a forum thread about this? Sometimes approvals take time.

Those posts are a week old.

I have two posts pending as well. One of the two is from over a week ago. They'll get around to reviewing them when they can.

Remember, e6 is a big site, and reviewing the amount of submissions this site gets on a daily basis takes a lot of time. And I'm pretty sure the people who run this site have lives outside of e6.

So yeah, they'll get to it, just give them time.

Our admins and moderators do all their hard work voluntarily. As in, they don't get paid at all for it. As a result, many, if not all of them, work separate, actual paying jobs. With how popular the site is, they don't get around to every image in a reasonable time.

Now someone approved it. Just wanted to make sure. I posted another 20 pics after them and all of them were approved in less than a day.

I once saw a post go +2 weeks unapproved

Just was trying to avoid that.

Nobody said they don't. Just wanted to be sure those post weren't ignored.

They can run a search for status:pending order:id and find the oldest unapproved images.

The first image you linked, post #1077832 (which becomes a version friendly link to the image if you type it like that instead of pasting a URL: post #1077832) I'm not sure why there was delay on it, but the second one, post #1077875, has a human and humanoid which, while humanoids are approved, they can take a bit longer as they determine how non-human they really are.

Updated by anonymous

If they were noticed and passed over, there might have been some hesitation to approve human-focused posts.

Anyways, if you ever need some unapproved posts looked at so you can get your upload limit back to normal, feel free to poke us on the chat. You'll probably get a hold of somebody much sooner.

Like Inanna had said, these things take time. I made a forum post on a necro'd thread about this just the other day, and everyone pretty much said the same thing. As Ratte had even confirmed, some posts take precedence over others because some posts require discussion/voting upon by the admins.

My advice would be to just wait it out. If they're high-enough quality, then they should be fine. If, like me, you're not sure if they'll be approved, then flag them for deletion.

Plus, there's always Rule34.xxx if you want to upload something. I don't think they have any kind of waiting period for admins to check their posts (though if we're being honest, Rule34 has nothing against the tagging system here. 1boy2girls? Seriously?)

It's a workweek.

That depends if it's strictly from Monday to Friday. And most work 6 days of a week and taking the Sunday off

I wouldn't say most. In many occupations, a workweek is 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Then again, this could be because I'm on one side of the planet and you're on the other. Different countries, different rules.

Sounds more like different universes; it is getting harder and harder to get by out there on a single income.

Genjar

Former Staff

Yes, let me spend my Christmas approving posts on a porn site for no pay. Got nothing better to do.

Seriously though, there's always a whole lot of other things to deal with. Constant floods of dmails, forum and wiki business, flags, reports, etc. And then there's some users who expect us to somehow keep up with tagging too.

Though if posts stay unapproved for that long, it's usually because they're either of borderline quality or barely relevant. In which case they're usually skipped by most of the staff, and need to be handled by the higher ups. Who are even busier than us.

Given that the staff isn't paid for working on this site, and sure as heck aren't doing it as a job, I'd think that "work week" would be a meaningless concept in regards to this website. :P

Honestly, it's not a big deal if a few posts take a week or two to be approved or deleted. As long as you haven't reached your post limit and don't have more pictures to post, then why worry about it? I've had a few posts that have been pending approval for a while now, but I don't really care since my upload limit is high enough for it not to be a problem. Also, one got deleted for reasons I understand and can agree with. Point is, even at a minimum upload limit of 10, 2 unapproved posts barely even make a dent in your available uploads.

You exaggerated by 50%.

I can't help that feel 90% of my posts aren't worth of ever being approved, i.e. that the quality sucks big time despite my best efforts, IDK. *Shrug*

We've all uploaded sub-par content before and have content waiting in the queue at some point. If you think it's worth uploading, just upload it and don't worry about it.

I know this thread or whatever is 2 or so years old, but I've had a problem like this. I've tried uploading art, stayed in queue for 31 days, then got automatically deleted cause it "Did not meet minimum quality standards."

Not going to bother reuploading it though cause obviously it isn't worth being uploaded apparently

You bumped a 2 year old thread to state something you uploaded got automatically deleted for quality standards, only to add that you won't upload it again?
This has to be one of the most pointless bumps I've ever seen.
