I've noticed most recently that an artist seems to have taken up a new name while not mentioning their old one (which is deleted on all the sites it was on.)
How should this be handled when it comes to tagging/aliasing?

Message the artist and ask them if they are trying to disassociate with said name. If they are, than their old name shouldn't be aliased to their new one.

If they are trying to do that, why would they reveal they intentions?
Seems counter productive to go around saying "hey I'm trying to hide that my old name is xyz"

Are they keeping all of their old art under their new name? Because that has an impact on what ought to be done.
