Animals whining doesn't necessarily to be cruelty.

It's a puppy crying in pain.

You have no way of definitively knowing where the audio came from and lack the important contextual information to make an informed judgement. It's not going to get removed. If you're that worried, contact the creator of the animation and find out where they got the audio. You'll probably find that it was taken from some random sound library and they won't know anything more than the rest of us do.

I've lived around dogs my entire life and I know they make those high-pitched noises for a number of reasons. In reference to the specific noises made in the animation, I've heard my husky make sounds like this when she was clearly happy.

If not something like this, it's also possible it was simply a result a recording device being left on during the day when the house was empty, wherein the animal was sad it's owner was away or something, eliciting a type of crying, but not one as a result of cruelty.

Another point I should raise it that there are similar sound effects used in mainstream media. People will humanely train animals to make the desired sounds, so that they can be applied for a new purpose. Or do you seriously think that every time you hear a dog whine in a film, tv show or video game it was really being abused? That's ludicrous.

my dog makes sometimes sounds like that when we take her squeaky toy away from her for night. she also makes sounds like that when she really needs to poop and she wants outside. and also when she is in a room with closed door and she hears that someone is making food for her in kitchen. the point is that dogs can whine like that for wide variety of reasons.

Even if it isn’t, why are real dog sounds allowed? I think that should be considered to violate the “real” rule

and if that gets trough, every single video with any real world sounds or real world human doing speaking of dialogue is also banned?

Also we do not ban content under real, as it can be e.g. used part of mixed_media. Similarly how even if we don't allow humans there are exceptions like comics where human_only occurs.

If so, then we may as well say goodbye to everything with voice acting because they were made with "real" voices.

Thankfully AI can make face people (with voice) so we can just replace it with that.
