Topic: A "Tag What You See" exercise — "Implied from dialogue"

Posted under General

We know to use the Tag What You See (TWYS) rule for tagging posts. Well I ran into an interesting case, and I'd like some guidance with it.

In this image, the character thinks to themself, "I need to lay off the sugarshine cupcakes," while trying to contain her burgeoning, huge breasts which have popped out of her top.

My question is: Does this post imply breast expansion? And if so, do we tag it under the TWYS rule per the dialogue?

The case probably has a clear answer, one that would offer helpful insight to users interpreting the TWYS rule.

Thanks for participating!

No, it simply implies that the food item stimulates breast growth, not that her breasts just magically grew in the image. Evidence of large breasts and hinting something caused it, isn't evidence of breast expansion. If it were, than age progression sheets would also acquire the tag.

Text counts as external information to avoid conflicts with visual information, possible untranslateable content, etc. and external information isn't part of TWYS.

Undestood! So while the post contains transformation and breast growth themes, it does not contain breast expansion content.

One wonders whether adding tags for these themes would make this post more visible to its favored audience, because they won't be finding it with the breast expansion tag. How would we go about doing that?

You don't tag things that are assumed, so the people that would like the idea of this would just have to deal with the fact that they'll just have to find it by looking up other related tags to the post. Otherwise, you could put this image and others related to the context of it in a public set.

So two things I learned:

  • Text inside of a post counts as external information, and only visual information counts for Tag What You See.
  • We can make sets for implied themes.

Thank you, Mairo and Vesperus.

Just make sure it's a Set and not a Pool As Pools are for things like image sets, and comics. And shouldn't be used for these themed type of projects and would ultimately be deleted if it were.
