Topic: subjective/ Objective tagging.

on a scale of 1-100; 1 being "Only the most absolute objective tags that would stand up against the high court of any country" and 100 being "just add a million tags, no matter how subjective they are", what is the preferred middle ground.

I feel like this is important to ask but I don't know if this discussion has been had yet. The Cute tag was removed some time ago for being too subjective, and right now there is talk of separating the [big_dom_small_sub] tag & variations into dom/ non-dom variations because not all current uses of the tag involve domination, even though the tag serves it's purpose as-is.

I'd guess around a 15. We generally strongly prefer objective tags where possible but (1) there are some tags that need some subjectivity to function, (2) reality is complex and difficult to interpret, (3) there are borderline cases, (4) the site deals with fantasy creatures and concepts which break all conventions, and (5) there's got to be some wiggle-room to account for errors and such.
