I am new here and I like to know how do I add an avatar to my user name? I appreciate the help and thanks.

Two ways: easiest way is being on a post's page and hitting the "set as avatar" button.

Second way is in your settings menu. If you know the ID of the post you want as an avatar, you can manually enter it there as well

Bottom left of any post, under "Options".

On user settings page it's near the bottom.

I see it. What I am asking is I like to add a custom avatar from one of many pictures from my computer.

Ah, sorry to say that you can't do that.. It has to be an E6 post..

If it's a furry related image it might already be on the site. You could check by running it through this site, and it'll give you similar looking images:

harrylu is often down, it checks e6 for posted images but its reliability is crap, I'd suggest http://saucenao.com/ instead
