Topic: Time for some penetration tag clarification (plus herm-versus-gynomorph)

Posted under General

'kay, so I was advised to start a new thread for a separate issue regarding my confusion about tags. So! I've seen images where the actual penetration could not be seen, yet which still got anal_penetration or vaginal_penetration depending on...things. 'cause of this, I was under the impression that when the actual penetration was not plainly visible, one had to use logical reasoning, and/or judge based on the location and angle the penis/sex toy/what-have-you is going in, in order to determine whether it's anal or vaginal. I was also under the impression that if such reasoning could be used to conclude the penetration is probably vaginal, a vagina could be assumed, so that a character with breasts and a penis being taken in a way that's most likely vaginal; could be assumed a herm, rather than gynomorph.

Am I just completely mistaken about all of this, or...what's the deal with that?

I don't think that using the location or angle to determine what is being penetrated is a good method to use because they way people draw might not be anatomically accurate. Generally you should first determine the gender of the character being penetrated and then from there determine what is being penetrated.

For example, in this post, the dog character lying down is being penetrated, but you can't exactly see what is being penetrated. However, we know that character is male, and male characters can only be penetrated anally in that position (or through their penis but we can't see that). We can't say that "Oh that character can also be penetrated vaginally from that angle, therefore that character can be an andromorph/cuntboy instead" because there isn't proof that character has a pussy.

Therefore, if you see that a character has breasts and a penis but no pussy, you can only assume that they are a gynomorph/dickgirl. And since gynomorphs don't have pussies by definition, ambiguous penetration can't really be used.

I pretty sure that in most cases, ambiguous penetration should only be used for female characters since they could be penetrated vaginally or anally. Herms and maleherms could also be penetrated vaginally or anally but in order to be considered herms or maleherms, both a penis and a pussy must either be visible or implied through something like a bulge or outline.

Characters can and often are genderswapped (or just turned into a cuntboy/dickgirl/herm) so just going by what you *know* the character's gender is kind of seems unreliable but I suppose you have to draw a line somewhere and regardless that seems like a separate discussion altogether.

I don't mean going by what you know, I mean going by what's visible in the image.
