If so, I would use it too. To me, the attempt to make e6 more user friendly has just made it cluttered and visually appalling, and somehow less intuitive in its attempt to be thorough or more structured for newer or lazy users.

In particular, the new upload page (and edit feature) is horrid and cluttered for anyone who can actually tag their uploads. I get trying to encourage better tagging for new users, yet a "heritage" setting or server would be welcome for those who can tag properly.

FA still has the same code underneath, it's just a UI change, whereas E6 has updated the entire codebase, So in short, no, the old UI is gone, though it'll be worked on and smoothed out after all the bugs are ironed out, as well as a few themes returning.

I believe after 10 uploads you can swap the upload page to a basic one from your account settings:
Account > Settings > Advanced > "Enable Compact Uploader"

It did.
That's why we only have this many bugs.
