So I know the site has two mascots (Esix and Hexerade). I was thinking of trying to do some fanart of one or both of 'em for 6/21. But I have a few questions first. First of all, do they have official refsheets anywhere? I see there's a fair bit of art of both in various styles, but I'm not sure what, if any of it, might be considered "accurate" or "official". Secondly, who, if anyone, "owns" the characters? Finally, are there any particular rules or guidelines for what kind of things are okay to draw them involved in? I wasn't planning on anything particularly out there or anything, just curious. I was considering combining the fanart idea with some pride month thing. You know, have one of them waving a rainbow flag or something. (Do they even have "canon" sexualities, btw?)

Basically, my point is the wiki is woefully lacking info on these two mascot characters and that's a shame. So if someone could fill me in, that'd be great!

To the best of my knowledge, you are allowed to draw eSix. eSix has no canonical sexuality or gender, and may be drawn as the artist wishes to depict them. The references are the earliest pictures of the character done by keishinkae. Obvious rule violations such as hate speech, harassment, etc. should not be done using the mascot. Please don't include eSix in images that contain sexual content involving characters under the age of 18, regardless of the involvement of eSix in those activities.

Hexerade has a more mysterious past and ownership of the character is not well defined, so it's probably not a good idea to draw them.

Hexerade first showed up on post #60930. Checking on Furaffinity, A SFW version of that image is the oldest Hexerade image. Doesn't this suggest that it's either Dragon Fruit or Chizi who owns Hexerade?

Hello! Thanks you for reaching out to me, from my perspective, I've sold the character right to Arcturus (the owner of e621 at the time) when the mascot contest ended and I've not had much say over his involvement since then. I was not forbidden to create more art of him on my own so technically everything goes?? With how the internet works there's much control I really have over what can or cannot happen to him, but if it were up to me I'd ask that there be no gore/scat involving him! Otherwise feel free to draw him in whatever situation!

Thanks for the info, folks! I'm not too worried because the ideas I have are pretty tame. (Already started two tentative sketches hehe) But I'll be sure to check in with Arcturus before I post anything.
