Topic: Question about my deleted post

Posted under General

I had posted a sound version of 28550, which was 3332711 and it got deleted for being inferior/duplicate

Wanted to ask which aspect of it was inferior? Was it the twitter video itself that was the problem or the conversion?

Looking into it, that one's a lazy blend of four different webms (not even a quick fade transition, just instantly next clip), given sound by a third party with unknown permissions.

I keep being amazed how basically all audio editors manage to fuck up their source material so royally, with bad upscale/downscale with horrible filtering, pillar/letterboxing because of incorrect aspect ratio, absurd amount of compression not only on video but also on the audio that's supposed to be the thing they did, incorrect framerate with stutter or frame blending, incorrect speed, etc. etc.

Additionally the site generally thinks of audio as irrelevant factor to begin with, so technically speaking we shouldn't have any audio edits here to begin with.

Permissions are irrelevant factor in this and if the edit was done without permission, then artists should definitely utilize takedown process.
Additionally in many of these cases the edits are posted somewhere else initially, so artists knowing how to look up DMCA/takedown information on websites is generally good knowledge for them if they do want to protect their works.
