What does "upvotes" mean in this context? Average upvotes per post? Total number of upvotes across all posts?

The answer is no in either case, and you probably don't want it as much as you think you do anyway. The beauty of the blacklist is how efficiently it conceals immensely popular artists who exclusively draw kinks or genders you're not into.

these two things don't seem to me to be mutually exclusive. 'artists by median upvotes, excluding those for whom >25% of posts would be blacklisted' sounds interesting to me.

Not technically or socially practical, though.
