Something that's shocked me is the lack of VTuber art here on E621, there is so many animal themed/part animal VTubers and VTuber Pets I think it's super important to Archive the artworks considering how short a span a lot of our Oshis have so let's come together to make sure their artworks are all here on this site, doesn't matter of it's a small indie VTuber with 100 subscriber or a behemoth from Hololive let's get busy and let's help preserve some amazing art~

Currently slowly uploading my catalogue of Indie VTuber - Fang Honebuchi artworks but like most things it's waiting for approval XD

Not interested in VTuber SFW or NSFW art. It has a different vibe altogether that just doesn't activate my neurons.
I watch anime, I like a good kemonomimi as the next person. But I come here for furries not borderline furries

The only kemonomimis I tolerate is Felix Argyle, the ones in Fate/Grand Order, and FFXIV's Miqo'te & Viera race.

Everything else is meh, to me. VTubers are meh. PLUS Western VTubers are kinda cringe with their twitter crap. I can't get that gunk outta my head.

I do like Snuffy, BungoTaiga, Shiabun, & Buffpup art at least. That's about it.
Most VTubers are kinda overhyped.

I am not surprised. VTubers are real people using characters as a layer of separation between themselves and a face-cam. I am uncomfortable with third-party NSFW art of a real-life person or a representation of one. Keeping porn firmly relegated to fictional characters with no real-life connections reduces the risk of exploitation, particularly if the VTuber in question is underage.

See, that's the thing, Song has the mindset most reasonable people have when they look at VTuber art. Not to put words in their mouth. My opinion of the matter is that looking at NSFW of VTubers feels hella weird!
Cause even if you looking at a fictional character you're always thinking "behind this fictional character is a real person"
My morals and ethics are chaotic neutral at best, I KNOW how to seperate art from the artist, but looking at a fictional person knowing full well a real person is behind it is like.....
having a crush on a mascot character at disney world but in the costume is some stranger ya don't know. Could be a man, could be women, you don't know who it is...it's unnerving.

BUT, a good artist relieves a bit of that discomfort, depends heavily on WHAT the art looks like to make me forget about the REAL person.
Hence why Snuffy, Buffpup, & Taiga art is my go-to. Art so good, I forget about the human behind it. It also helps, in Taiga's case, that he's a IRL femboy.

We can like and not like but it still belongs on here as art, as long as the person behind it isn't a minor if it's nsfw

I think at least part of it is that the culture of the furry fandom is generally pretty against lewding people's 'sonas without express permission. VTubers tend to strattle the line between character and avatar of a real person, so them being less popular here isn't super surprising.

Most VTubers have a NSFW Hashtag even big ones like Hololive's Ina has #4THWAH for NSFW art

I still think this is a good idea especially because a lot of VTubers wipe their socials, especially Graduated Agency Vtubers or VTubers Graduating to join Agencies, so whenever you see SFW and NSFW of your favourite VTuber remember to Archive as much as you can <3
