Topic: [DELETION] Irrelevant to site (Human only)

Posted under General

I posted an animated gif of Cosmo from Sonic X giving a handjob. While the man getting jerked off was human, she certainly is not. She's not furry but she's a plant creature thing. Also there's tons of Cosmo content on here so I figured it was okay.

The things that you know about characters like this may not be immediately obvious to approvers. She looks like a human with multicolored hair, so three different staff members disapproved of the post. I have to agree with their assessment.

Yeah it's always a cointoss whether things get accepted, I've had posts of Marceline and Jenny Wakeman - [DELETION] Irrelevant to site (Human only)'d even though they are Vampire and Robot, don't even get me started on how the Gems from Steven Universe are considered "Human" but "Elves" are a'ok, like I mean I don't mind elves at all and the more sites you can archive stuff the better but it all depends on what staff is on and what their likes/dislikes are

Our likes and dislikes don't really factor into matters. What we're looking for is whether a character looks like a human by TWYS. We're not interested in what the character is in lore. We're looking to see if it could pass itself off as a human or not. Funky skin colors don't count as nonhuman else the Simpsons would get in. A lack of nose doesn't count or Finn from Adventure Time would get in. The line is humanoid pointy ears since humans don't naturally come in pointy eared varieties.

You want your nonhuman character to be approved? They need to look the part. Alas, many uploaders seem to enjoy dancing on the very borderline of relevancy, leaving approvers with little choice but spend more time than we'd like examining the picture and making a judgement call. Sometimes, that means splitting hairs rather finely. Some approvers can be more lenient than others or less lenient, depending on the day and after any discussions that have happened in staff channels. It's difficult sometimes.

For Marceline Abadeer, her ears need to be visible at the very least. The fangs are often not quite enough. For Jenny Wakeman, she needs to look like a robot and not like a human with some lines drawn across her skin. Many of the Gems from Steven Universe look like humans with oddball colors. Cosmo needs her hair to at least look plant-like and not like she's dyed her hair and put it in some sort of hair style.
