He seems to backseat mod a fair bit. I thought there was something about that? Or is it just frowned upon?

I think I might have seen 1-2 bans for excessive backseat modding.

He would put the fear of God into you when "the Week" rolled around.
Funny thing was that it wasn't actually a week, but more like an undisclosed amount of time. Sometimes it lasted for weeks or even months...lol

Erk has broken the rules. a lot. he has a -5 score, and he's a ban evasion from http://e621.net/user/show/19641 and http://e621.net/user/show/13990 not to mention his other account http://e621.net/user/show/11015. yet still he's here...

The site staff will decide that, not the users.

Some of those negative marks are pretty arbitrary. Stop Whining? That happens every day. If we really held that against people there would be a lot more users with negative marks on their nicks.

Anyway, he is behaving currently and as long as he continues to there shouldn't be a problem. You guys really shouldn't need to concern yourselves with it.

He was banned under the old administration, but I had my doubts that it was really deserved, so I unbanned him to see how he worked out. I have no issue banning him again if he acts up.

Looks like Riversyde just got him with a one week ban for tag vandalism.

Looking through the list of tag edits, I'm not seeing anything that qualifies as tag vandalism.

Ever since the latest upgrade, I'm not sure I trust the activity histories provided by the site. Seems like there are ways for stuff to just... disappear... like forum posts and whole image posts, that I know of.

Well, for a while the admins were super-nuking any posts involving Bernal or Sexyfur, due to a bug that could allow people to find the image behind the post. Said posts would simply cease to exist, like post #91979 or post #91980 (note that post ID numbers are assigned sequentially and post #91981 is valid). My understanding is that the downside of this workaround was that the images could be casually reposted without triggering the MD5 check, but it definitely "solved the problem".

Then I made a post under forum #162 (the official Sexyfur/Bernal/TailHeat reporting thread), and later I found the post was gone and that the last person who supposedly modified that thread was Ultima Weapon (http://www.e621.net/user/show/6588 ). I assume the post was super-nuked.

Hm, fair enough, but it's worth mentioningthat, I'd think, such posts are deleted--or superdeleted if you will--so quickly that there's not any real time for tag vandals or like. In any regards, it's being done by people with the moderator hat, so, they probably know what's going on in regard to what they're deleting, and I'd bet there's probably a log somewhere where Varka or whoever the top top top admins are can see what mod is doing what.

Anyway... I was thinking you meant, like, a bug, or error or something that was causing things to disappear mysteriously ^^;

I didn't mean that it was buggy behavior, just that the histories don't tell the whole story anymore. It's a bit of a shame, since removing the data removes transparency, but I'm guessing it's an attempt at reducing further problems. "Out of sight, out of mind", as they say.

Will have Char override the ban, he was in his right with those edits... also, cookie, stop backseat modding k?
