A month of so before the new administration took over, the scores of all the posts were wiped.

This is a shame, since it's now hard to find good posts that were uploaded before then.

I really wish the administration could restore those scores.

It really does suck, but I'm pretty sure restoration isn't going to happen. The information is almost certainly completely gone by now.

If that's the case, it would be nice if there was some way of exposing users to the old posts, in order to reconstruct the scores.

It sucks that the order:score search query is effectively worthless.

The users can already see old posts, it's called the SEARCH FUNCTION. The thing is, the time a post gets the most views is when it's on the front page.

You're not getting what I'm saying. Search tags, go to the back, find old posts. I'm not talking about the order:score function here.

well if we could search for the amount of favorites a image have. Then I'm sure we could find some of the old stuff

As a matter of fact, scores aren't calculated at all the same way they were before, as faving a post did add +1 to it's score, while still leaving the possibility to vote it up. Also it was possible to vote once per hour and per IP address.

Even if it was possible to restore the scores, they wouldn't be relevant to the current system.

Aurali has something better planned in the future for favorites, so it's going to be a while before this happens.

Is there some reason not to just give back the ability to see who faved an image to regular users, at least as a temporary solution?
