I have been unable to access e621's irc channel. When I try to connect I get this:

Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection timed out: connect

I haven't a clue on what the problem is. Can anyone shed some light on this?

sounds like the server is down. :( You can try an alternative client until I can get Zebric functioning, but that might be a few more while the clients catch back up. :3

Dunno, when I try to connect it just tells me the channel doesn't exist. I figured that was a problem with my client though.

I tried ChatZilla too, still couldn't connect. There could be something wrong with Furnet...idk.

This is the problem I've always had with IRC. It never connects. I thought it might've just been the IRC page, but I guess it's the #irc itself.
