The problem with them is there is only like 5 different ones out there that match a composition well enough to be "maximum sexy mode" in an image, and once you've drawn them all once, you basically either have the option of just repeating it over and over or using some sort of lesser pose that won't be as fap fap fap. And since the whole purpose of a porn picture is fapibility you get stuck pigeonholed in.

The only other thing you can do is just blatant close up shots of genitalia which is also pretty boring.

Yeah, because there're already so many porn drawn that unique poses are becoming less and less seen.

I have yet to see a pose that would surprise me.

Although many of the poses are fun in real life, they're often not much fun to look at. Consider the piledriver_position, for instance: it looks awkward and maybe even painful.

So yeah. I've never thought of it before, but that's probably why unusual positions are rarely drawn. It's just tough to make them look appealing.

I think it's fun to try and mess with viewing angles, but for the most part you're kind of right. there are only so many poses one can use to maximum effect for porn.
