Ehhh. To be honest, isn't it a bit harsh to permaban the guy for a few DNP infractions?

I mean, he did previously get a three day ban before his permanent one, but people usually get at least a third chance before they're gone forever. Getting rid of the avoid_posting tag isn't proper behavior, but still.

He also outright lied to us on multiple occasions, we have better things to do than deal with him.

Well, no idea really, but it's just that it doesn't occur to me as enough or malicious enough bad behavior to warrant permanent removal.

Aside from the avoid_posting vandalism there weren't any stupid DNP cases (like stubbornly continuing to upload an artist you've already been flogged for before, I see a lot of that) and not that many to begin with. The intersex tagging thing probably counted too, and was annoying to other people, but probably more out of ignorance than anything else.

I don't know what the lying encompasses though, so I'm probably not getting the whole picture.

Remember that we do not give records for posting DNP if the uploader flags it themselves. Pasiphaë posted DNP today and didn't have anything happen to their records because they flagged it, h4x0r sometimes has uploads sitting around for hours that he doesn't flag, or removes the artist and avoid_posting tags to not get caught.

Why would we show any form of mercy if he can't utilize the system we have in place already?

*tagging abuse* - added female tag to a herm character, i thought it herm=female+penis N

*tag abuse* - added a female tag where only female hands are visible 1 month ago -1 to record (notmenot you is not a nice person)
*second dnp - accidently dnp because mass upload. 1 month ago-1 by notmenotyou (i used to like this guy)
*third dnp and 3 day ban that scared me -1 month ago -1 record (lost all respect for notmenotyou)

*tag abuse* and permanent ban 22 days ago - i uploaded my first pic after 3 day ban and it was avoid posting, i got scared and removed avoid posting tag, after 22 days the ban came -1 record ippiki ookami the admin i liked

I think they do, Lepepper and other ban evaders always seem to get sniffed out pretty quickly. Even proxies don't appear to help much.

Well, there is a certain amount of confirmation bias here. If someone is evading their ban and not getting caught, we naturally won't notice. If someone is getting caught, it is pretty apparent comparatively. So there may be many ban evaders out there not getting caught.

I was going to provide example of how someone could successfully evade a ban, but then I realized that could potentially assist ban evaders.

When somebody has similar behaviour patterns to a ban evader and their IP is that of a random webhost or online proxy, it becomes fairly conclusive that it's a ban evader.

Additionally, a lot of people just reset their routers to be allocated a new IP address from their ISP, but they're probably going to end up in the same IP range and be detected easily. I don't know about e6, but a lot of site's admin panels can search for accounts within the IP range of users.

The name is an acronym derived from the original software project name The Onion Router.
According to Wikipedia, because tor wasn't always bundled with Firefox, but that was ages ago.
