Topic: Popular Should Have A Mode Too?

Posted under General

So are a long running member of this site i have had one hell of a time here, but one thing that just makes my life a little slower is the popular tab not having its very own "Mode" (You know the thing you click to either view, favorite, edit etc)
I know its laziness im talking about here and i could easily just click the image and favorite and upvote it that way but come on..we know that popular has all the juicy shit there and just having that "Mode" would make it so much easier to add them to my collection.
So would this be possible or am i forced to waste 3 secs of my life click and image just to favorite it? (Jokingly of course i dont mind clicking and faving just thought it would be nice to have it there)
What are your opinions guys?

The first one should use 'date:today' AFAICS; date:day doesn't do anything useful (returns 0 results).

Whoops, corrected. Was on mobile at the time. :x

Using the newish date keywords you can do more complicated things than Popular by Day:

Once you have a good search you can bookmark it or save the links on your profile.

(I would like "yesterday" and "decade" added)

Thanks Lance, that might come in handy sometime.
Lets just hope the Devs see this and actually decide if that is a good idea or not.
Would love to see it sometime.
Plus just having the "Mode" on the popular tab would be slightly more easier then what you're having me do. xD

Decade was actually added recently, it just happens to include all posts.

Compare date:decade to date:yesterday.

My main reason for wanting date:yesterday is to improve search when the server date changes and there are fewer or zero images for date:today

Range syntax could be handy as well.

I've already figured out date:yesterday (and for fun I managed to get a working model written up for x_days/weeks/months/years_ago :D), but I haven't quite figured out how the range syntax is parsed yet, so it may take some more time.

I should probably get some sleep but I'll see what I can dig up tomorrow.
