Topic: Anyone else here easily angered?

For example. I can't stand arguing about American history, arguing politics, or arguing about some group's rights.
Anyone else like that?

Eh, not really. I usually don't let things that people say to me get me angry, it's just a waste of time and energy to get frustrated about it.

I wish I could be like that! But the problem with me is, I'm sick and tired of always losing over everything I believe in and being put to shame! I'm sick of it! Every damn thing! All my values! Nope! Can't be allowed to have those without some fucking liberal attacking me and others because they or somebody else is offended by something I say or do! whether it be the music I like, where I live, or what have you!

I would get really upset over passive-aggressive shit back when I lived with my family. I'd ask someone to take out the dogs or something, and they'd say "Yeah yeah I'll do that" without even looking at me, then I'd come back later and see that nothing had happened. And they'd say "Why are you angry? I was going to do it."

fuck that noise

These "liberals" don't pay your bills, they don't live your life, so why should you care what they think about your values?

Because they just publicly rub everything in our faces. Every-thing! It's wearing me thin! Enough of shaming people over little things. History, modern stuff, etc.

Listening to them and getting angry about it is what they want. It means they are winning.

Yeah I hear ya! I really just want to be left be and live my life and not be socially outcasted. Or witch hunted by the legions of society's yuppies and hipsters. Trust me, this society derides everyone in the area I live in! i live in the country (and I plan to stay). The vast legions of left and right-leaning media freaks constantly thrust us into the center of all public humiliation and disgust. that's why I'm angry. We just can't be let be can we? And all because I'm not some modern progressive or whatever! No, politics doesn't matter to me. that's why I'm mad. I'm tired of it mattering to people. And I'm tired of society's views being crammed down my throat! I'm sick of them trying to make me adopt new ways and ideas when the tried and true has worked just fine. Anyway I'm wasting everyone's time and I need to shut the hell up. I'm sorry for being irritating. But I hardly have any friends and so I let it out here for some odd reason that's beyond me.

They do it to get a reaction out of people, don't give them the satisfaction. You have to try as hard as you can go ignore them.

Yes.
Normally I seem totally deadpan, but I can get very temperamental.

Just keep in mind that you'll never change anyone's deeply-held beliefs on the internet, no matter how wrong (you think) they might be. You're just some guy on the internet to them.

If you want to argue something like politics, do it with someone who has something to lose if they alienate you.

Like Adolf Hitler and Stalin er I mean Donald Trump and Clinton? Seriously those two must be losing alot of following XD.
But lets not get into that.

I found that the easiest way to stay relaxed is to just not watch news outlets that are retarded. If you want the news try to find a neutral non-political outlet for interesting things that happen around the world and if you want politic news stay on neutral pages as well.

If you watch the news of your "enemies" you're going to end up pissed because that is literally how politics work right now.

And if someone is annoying in real life killing them with kindness and or sarcasm is hilarious, a simple "That's nice, dear." and then ignoring them works wonders.

It's a bad idea to argue about subjects like politics and religion in general. It almost always devolves into something terrifying and is never worth the effort.

Look at it this way, all of these people mocking you because of where you live are just desperate to feel superior to at least someone. Don't give them that satisfaction by reacting angrily, that just means they've succeeded. Do it like NMNY suggested, a sarcastic or measured uninterested response simply infuriates them while not giving them what they want: an angry response.

Your time is worth more than that.

Well, I can't stand it when art gets downvoted <5 minutes after it's been uploaded, I suspect it's the same person too, and that just frosts my Kelvinator. Blacklists are hard to use.

But I digress.

I have been told I have "an overabundance of zen." You can probably make a fairly accurate assumption from that.

This is why these subjects are best avoided. Unless there is a SJW because then the subject is inevitable.

At which point you simply avoid the person to preserve your own sanity.

These are important things to discuss... with people who actually respect your opinion.

[is a wasp]

I have been described as a legitimately nice person, but I have emotional faults. Anger is one of them.

The extent to which anger is experienced, and how I express it will not be covered.

I don't get angry easily.

When I was young I was a rage monster. Now I rarely ever get angry. Annoyed sometimes, but almost never angry.

its very easy for anyone to get angry when discussing these things, as these have lots of controversy involved, as such, people will have very strong opinions about them

Pretty much me. I became so chill people thought I was high all day in High School.

Well, I don't find it fun nor important to get into arguments, just ignore it and focus on yourself. You fight and fight...and it sometimes leads you nowhere. Then, there's a point where you get too tired to fight, you wish it never happened.

Online I'm usually calm, I get angry very rarely, but IRL events sometimes set me off. I walk with a cane/I'm disabled and people in shops often talk down to me really slowly and patronisingly and it bugs the hell out of me. If I'm with someone they won't talk to me even if I'm talking to them, they'll respond to whoever is with me.

It's a pain in my ass and makes me real angry, I'm disabled but that doesn't mean I'm stupid, I'm highly educated and it bugs me so bad. I often report people who treat me like some dumb child bc yikes.

As many others mentioned, I'm on my chill mode since 14.

I never get angry on anyone except my parents.

Updated by anonymous

On e621 and in real life, I am one of the most calm and level-headed people you can meet. I've yet to see or encounter anything on e621 that would insult or anger me. The closest was when Ozelot had his little hissy-fit, "threatened" me, and I just went to sleep because it was late.

That's kind of why I try to focus on humor and positivity when I comment.

Disagreed with his views. The nerve of some people.

Updated by anonymous

I feel that a lot of things get under my skin, but not the usual suspects that seem to get other people worked up. Most of my anger stems from others being thoughtless, contradictory, or ineffectual. People make me mad. Individuals, not events, politics, government, public figures, and so on. For the most part I keep my anger contained, but an agitated state of mind inexorably colors one's perceptions further, which tends to leak out in my general tone with some regrettably snippy and unbecoming remarks for punctuation.

Examples

I can sit through the faulty, misinformed, misguided political and ideological ramblings of my relatives, saying very little myself and being careful not to reveal my position (pointless). However, I get thoroughly vexed when my best friend starts talking out of his ass just to "respond", to fill the space in a conversation, when he very clearly has no idea what he's talking about, which happens a lot.

Getting to know my classmates in university, I discovered parts from most of them that kept me from liking them as people (e.g., lots of lazy entitlement), but I easily suppressed any hints of disdain (not constructive). On the other hand, communicating with my father is a trying experience. Most notably, he's hands down the worst computer user I've had to help because he actively doesn't pay attention, unlearns anything remotely technical, and very nearly forgets everything else that I tell him, regardless of my approach, although those patterns aren't limited to technology matters. I can't always keep myself in check when dealing with that.

There's a certain mode in a certain game that I play, and I very likely have the deepest understanding of that mode among my peers by a few layers of complexity. I'm quite serious. There were a few smart, exceptional players in the past who were similarly perceptive, but they're long gone. Anyways, after I play that game for a few hours these days, I usually end in a seething fury from investing myself in the outcome only to have the same bad players make the same mistakes, dragging their team down with them. That situation won't improve. It's death by a thousand cuts. I think what bothers me most is the unwillingness or inability of these other "veterans" to learn from their failures, coupled with an attitude of inane ignorance.

Lastly, there's my mom. I've come to understand that I just can't think straight around her. One three-minute phone call from her had negatively lingered in my thoughts for over a month. I'm just getting over having spent a day with her, but it was a lot less damaging than the phone call. I can't summarize her. She might be a pathological liar, always minimizing the negatives and embellishing the positives, mentioning events and details from the past that no one can corroborate, remembering situations differently than everyone else. All but disowning her was probably the healthiest decision of my life.

Given the right stimulus, I will be angered almost without fail, but I take most of the edge off what I say and internalize that as stress. I usually don't talk to the person responsible for upsetting me if I can avoid it because I don't expect the situation would improve. Does that count as "easily angered"?

Oh yeah actually there is one other thing

when people playing video games act like fucking retards and miss extremely obvious shit

I usually am a very calm person and hard to anger or annoy.
Except when playing video games.
I just take that stuff way too seriously sometimes...
