Okay, so, I knew FA was bad, but until yesterday, I had no idea just how bad is bad. Well, okay so I have this fox I use in DAZ Studio right? Well, the pics were decently popular, people liked them and for a year, no one has seem to have had any issues with them. So I log on, as I was going to do some browsing, but nope, I get a

"YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR THREE DAYS"

I check the reason, and apparently, some jackass thought that he was "underage" despite the fact that I made the fursona to be 29 years old. How anyone can think that he was an adolescent is beyond me. To add insult to injury, the very fact that someone would even think that I made that kind of art sickens me. I have my preferences, as does everyone else, but as for me, I don't do it.

I've been keep watch on the degradation of FA for a long time now, it's getting worse, far more than I imagined. The staff there? They're uncaring, the AUP enforcer (who was responsible for my ban)? A real jerk and also uncaring. Yes, this is a diatribe, I just need to vent, because right now....once my ban is lifted on FA, I don't know what I'm going to do. I think my pride is hurt more than the actual ban itself, because to me, I find that kind of art I was accused of making in 3D very....ugh.

Got any examples of the art you're talking about?

Yes, it would be better to attempt to solve the problem directly rather than come to us about it.

Oh there are ways of contacting the staff using alternate means (other sites, Skype, etc), but it's been to no avail. I mostly needed to get this off my chest.

Mostly just venting, I actually have attempted to contact the moderator about this, and there is an "appeal" process, by using an email address, it's been 24 hours and no response. The staff at FA has been anything but helpful. That, and curious if you guys have had similar experiences with false BS accusations.

I've never found FA to be all that bad, personally. I've heard others complain, but it's always either the age restriction (which, Inkbunny has a no-human restriction and e621 has the ever popular and unpopular TWYS policy) or the userbase (which really seems no worse than any other userbase as far as I can tell), so I don't really see how it's so terrible.

I tend to use e621 for finding artists, FA and Inkbunny for following them. Each has their quirks, and their benefits.

I'll do that, yes, apparently, the appeals person got back to me, so the rule for the AUP is so that even if the person/character is ageless, and if they appear childlike (there are a lot of people in real life who are super old and appear childlike due to rare conditions), that too is "against the AUP". The fact these pics have gone as long as they have is a miracle.

What I need to do is once my account is reinstated, go through and be sure nothing else violates this BS rule. This tells me just how slow the staff works, I'm surprised it took this long for it to happen. It just...caught me off guard.

I feel like I've been treated like shit, pardon my french, that the staff would think I would stoop so low as to produce with very art that I'm very much against. It was never my intention to make him, my avatar/fursona to look that way.

regarding humans on IB. from what i've seen (whenever such posts appear in my notifications), theresa workaround to that: have the pic and thumbnail in question with the human(s) censored and down in the description link to an offsite location (dropbox or whatever) for the uncensored version. they're usually fine with it if you do that, i think but it couldn't hurt to check with the admin to be sure, of course.

I have heard that before from the head admin, Greenreaper, regarding that as a workaround. But as for FA, and how they handle things, I'm just...getting sick of it.

A few things on this.

The FA staff probably has no idea who you are. This isn't an assault on you personally, or a claim about what you would and wouldn't do. You are making this personal,a nd it's really not.

People produce young/cub art. It's their decision if they want to produce that sort of art. You might not like it (which I get: I don't either), but the fact is, other people do like it, and do produce it.

And so it bothers me that you are saying "stoop to that level". It's harmless art. There is no stooping required. You are not above artists like that. And it seems to me that you are suggesting, consciously or unconsciously, that you are. The fact that you would get so offended by the implication that you might draw that sort of art indicated how you feel about people who do draw that kind of art.

Wasn't my intent, I worded it wrong yet again. I'm just saying with the character I created, it was never my intention to cause confusion for the FA staff, he's not supposed to look that way, as he is much older than he appears. Why it took them this long to flag it is beyond me. Took them nearly a year, and as a precaution, I will either make him look stronger/buffer, or simply forgo uploading pics of him on FA and to somewhere else.

The staff isn't working slow in this case, they simply don't have a full content moderation like we have, you are 1 out of a couple hundred artists submitting images to FA, nobody checks uploads as they come in, they either react because they found it randomly or because someone reported it.
That wasn't a personal attack against you from the staff, just bad luck that one of them stumbled on your upload and errs on the side of caution.

Yeah, just rotten luck of the draw, I may just have to redirect the now-deleted pics (which I do have backups of on my PC), to another site that won't flip out at the sight of my fursona.

That being said, I have issues to deal with when it comes to anxiety, as in, not thinking straight and when I learned of this situation, I wasn't thinking straight and somehow thought it was personal, when it wasn't. But, after speaking to the appeal mod, he or she told me that once my account is reinstated, that I go through my gallery and be sure its purged of any of the offending images.

I lost my cool and didn't deal with this as well as I should have. And to all who read this so far, I wish to apologize for making a fool out of myself -_-

At the moment, I only use two websites for uploading my art. Deviantart and Furaffinity. Whenever I upload a new image, I give the link to my Deviantart account. And because of my personal interests, I pay far more attention to my Furaffinity account.

I'll probably create more accounts on other art websites to broaden my reach. But in the long run, and once I start drawing relevant art. I feel that e621 will be my "home" website.

I'm already spending the most time here out of all three anyway.

I don't see it as cancerous. Not one bit. I'm happy that I'm able to show my art somewhere, and I'm also happy that there are people noticing me at my earliest stages.

Unless Furaffinity does something that will piss me off, then I'll take my business elsewhere. I don't see myself getting in trouble there, and it takes an awful lot to anger me.

I primarily post SFM stuff now, I haven't posted anything DAZ related in some time. How the hell was I supposed to know how "childlike" my fursona was going to look? That was never my intent, but oh no, the little punk AsiaNeko (an admin who monitors the AUP) decided to wait a year.

Fuck FurAffinity. My primary account, however, has pics exclusively and wasn't the offending account. The whole thing is just....IDK.

It feels like they label me like that, and I'm not, and it's hard to make a character in DAZ look "older" thanks to a finite no. of controls in the body morph parameters. AsiaNeko can screw off for all I care.

That's what I initially thought; and I still think it was basically a shitpost.

OTOH when someone drags out words like 'subhuman' (which personally, get you on my 'never trust this person with anything ever' list), the fact that they have done so deserves to be highlighted, which that post did accomplish.

I think it's time to let this thread die. Fox_whisper85 vented, some people called him out for some things he said, there was much mud slinging from all angles, and no conclusion is in sight.

I think the only thing that will happen if this continues is that bad feelings will be stirred up, and there's no need for that.

Just my humble plea.
