Been seeing a lot more Underage users lately and realized part of it might be due to the fact that even with the Google Safesearch, Webnanny or other such 'childproofing' methods, They will still return the 'safe' content from E621 allowing said underage users to find or even sign up for the site..

..Might want to look into that. Especially with a lot of the NSFW fanart for certain child friendly shows and games being stored here and easily searchable, If undesirably, From Google. :P

It's probably just kids looking up five nights at Freddie's and my little pony on google images and then telling their friends about the site.

There's been no influx of reports of underage users that I'm aware of. Perhaps an increase in moderation and user base in general, but that's about it.

I'll see what I can do about putting together some stats/graphs when I get back home.

Important things to note:

• This is a really small sample size. It only includes users who have admitted to being underage and were banned for it. The true prevalence is unknown.
• This was gathered by searching the publicly available records, and only includes data from the last ~2 years (there was an effort to standardize records around that time which made it easy to find this data. Searching older records can be tedious, so I decided to go without.)
• I would expect a change in reports more/less proportional to the number of users using the site (e.g., more users = more users who might get banned). Increased moderation may also influence it, but I doubt it would affect much.
• The number of reports we get from users is probably the biggest influence here.

to be fair, I was only about 12-ish (I'm 18 now) and found this site when my PC had site blocker on it. I think I found the site by accident, although honestly I don't entirely remember (I know I found the Krystal trophy on smash bros brawl quite attractive around that time though. So maybe that's how I found the site?).
Whatever though, I just kept finding myself coming back, so clearly I liked it and found it arousing :3. The case is obviously still true today!

Sort of related, but I just did a check. E621 is missing the RTA header(Neither HTML and HTTP versions are present):

Rating: RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA

(Which is bad IMO, It's a non-standard header and as such should be "x-rating", not "rating", but hey it cuts down on bytes by 24 bytes)

However, some software does not recognize the RTA tag, and requires this instead

This happened after I got permission from her to upload to other locations. She mentioned in the private messages she was fine with it showing up anywhere as long as she still got credit for it, but I guess it deeply surprised her that it ended up on a site that's mostly porn.
