Sure.
Let's wait for the actual WoW players to give their opinions on the matter, they prob know whether this would create an issue.

I'd stick with consistency.

World of Warcraft is only a part of the entire Warcraft universe, there are quite a view things that either never appeared in WoW, or things that were changed from the original Warcraft games.

My understanding is that the situation with MLP and FiM is exactly the same as Warcraft and World of Warcraft, so I'd keep it the same for consistency's sake.
WoW definitely has the most content of all Warcraft games (being a decade old with a gamerbase between 5 million to 12 million during it's peak makes that a rather easy feat) but there will likely be instances where it would be better to have this separation.
However, if we keep them separate we should likely clean the implications up a bit and maybe add one or two more.

With all that said, I likely wouldn't be too "sad" if we aliased them together, it would make upkeep easier, while only very slightly affecting searches.

WoW deviates so incredibly far from the 'Warcraft' lore set by the first three games that it's not even funny. Random characters killed off with impunity in a single shitty questline or raid, random characters turned into primary antagonists or protagonists revolving around the basis of entire expansions at the will of Metzen. Time is turned back and the most random shit I've seen is retconned in sometimes.

But to be honest I don't think that it really fucking matters when it comes to porn.

So that's why I'd say yes.

WoW is far removed in the lore, and contains a decent chunk of distinguishable content (the netherwings and cat form druids (WC3 had bears and birds) are the two that most readily spring to mind). I wouldn't be all broken up over an alias, but in light of this and to maintain consistency with other subsets of series (MLP/FIM, as NMNY mentioned), I feel that an implication would be better.

Tangentially, pandaren can be implied to warcraft. They were present in WC3.

Approved alias -> warcraft. Since (as far as I can tell) it's all WoW or ambiguous enough that it might be WoW anyways. I'll be moving the implications now.
