Reason:

They are alternative spellings of same character's name. Currently, 50 posts use the 'shippo' spelling and 70 posts use the 'shippou' spelling, with some posts (like https://e621.net/post/show/172525 ) using both seperate tags for the same character. Searches for either one of the tags currently result in only some of all of the posts that include (and are tagged for) the character.

Theres an issue with this.

Theres one blue husky furry afaik also on here who's name is shippo. If you do this then he will be implicated to the inuyasha character and such the tag needs to be disambiguated.

Shippo is Japanese for tail. So yes, it's often used as a generic furry name.

As a result, it's too late to undo it now since all the posts are conglomerate, but there needs to be disambiguation between shippo _(inuyasha) and all the other generic furries. Its bad enough tryin to find him on other art sites. Tagging clarity is key here so this is not exactly a good change.

I mean I guess I'll do it but man its frustrating.
