-1. Somebody is bound to tag kangaroo_boy as a species-gender tag.

.. OP doesn't relate to "kangaroo_boy".

Kanagroo? Uh, okay, sure. +1 then?

Nope, looked into it. The artist tag is:

kangaroo_boy -> alias -> kangaroo-boy.

OP still doesn't relate to that; You can see clearly above that the tag is (ironically) misspelled. see https://www.weasyl.com/~kanagrooboy and https://twitter.com/kanagrooboy

AFAICS that needs to be fixed (apply kanagroo_boy to all posts in kangaroo_boy, then remove kangaroo_boy from those posts), and then the alias will be fine (assuming that new taggings will be using kangamutt, which seems reasonable based on the above links.)

OP does relate to that. Check the tag, it's still used for the artist, and quite popularly at that.

The aliases need to just be all removed and then remade to go straight to kangamutt, there's no point to have a chain of aliases.

Approved move all three tags -> kangamutt

Nah, *boy tags are pretty rare, and were pretty uncommon before the *girl/*boy tags were cleaned up.

We can't chain them anyways :P

.. I know that tag is used for that purpose. I can even guess why. That doesn't change that the tag is wrongly spelt, and that consequently OP is not requesting any aliasing of "kangaroo_boy".

I wasn't asking for a chain of aliases anyway. I was talking about tag scripting followed by creating a single alias. which would preserve the history sensibly for someone looking for either the old or new name.

Thanks paraspite. SADLY Furrin was not aware that are TWO artist.
1) Artist named in original post is previously known as kanagroo_boy (…AGroo)
2) Artist Furrin is thinking of is Kangaroo-Boy (…GAroo).

Kangaroo-Boy website http://www.kangarooboy.com/ (pre-1999 style at http://yerf.metafur.org/smitbren?sort_by=reverse_date ) and seems to have left the fandom. Art example from eight years ago: post #6951 post #13718

Kangamutt (formerly kanagroo_boy) is active, but art style is DIFFERENT from yerf-artist Kangaroo-Boy (one could say rougher style ... which would be strange if they were the same person .. because usually artist improve after years of making art)
Art example (NOTworksafe): post #659489

That's odd. Plenty of what was tagged there looked like the same artist.

Nice catch. I'll delete that alias and leave the kangaroo-boy tag for the other artist. Since they haven't really been around since then keeping them separate shouldn't be much of an issue.
