Topic: Tag alias: dolcett -> cooking_with_furs

Or implication cooking_with_furs -> dolcett?
Or maybe it should be other way around?

If someone would shearch that, they'll get appropriately tagged images. That's probably implication : searching for dolcett (dolcette is misspell, we we could add it?), regardless if they mean artist or fetish, will give cooking with furs, and maybe other tags that sometimes associated, if implications can be multple

That gives people an umbrella tag, for search or for blacklisting

Assuming that "Dolcett" is the artist of the same name, this is not what aliases and implications are for.

Let's go over each of the possible scenarios.

>Alias: dolcette → cooking_with_furs
Makes the artist absolutely impossible to search. Don't do it.

>Alias: cooking_with_furs → dolcette
This is even worse.

>Implication: dolcette → cooking_with_furs
The artist is free to draw other things if they so wish, in which case the implication is completely useless.

>Implication: cooking_with_furs → dolcette
As said previously, flipping this relationship around just fucks things up even more. There are other people who can draw images of this type if they so desire. I don't believe there's a single case where a tag implicates an artist.

"Dolcette" is a sort of slang term for cooking vore. Its named after a french artist.

In that case, would the alias still not be invalid? Just because a character is being cooked doesn't mean vore is actually present in the image.

Cooking vore is preemptive vore. The action of cooking a sentient being for vore.

Dolcett is cannibalism/vore where the victim is willing or apathetic about their impending execution. A lot, if not the majority of Dolcett is human art, iirc, so this alias seems a bit out there.

ANd that out of head statistic seems actually wrong.. HIS art was human, but docett-themed art is in_majority_ non-human now.. you would be surprised on amount of it on so-furry , IB or FA. In human art it actually mostly disappered. I knew few artists who drew it, I _drw_ human art, which is now is spread under my old alias (or noname), but now it is non-existant. There are also legal reasons to that. :P

There is one case, when we use tags sadism (that's writer though) or mosohism. :P Those mostly now under umbrella of BDSm, which is just as unstable ubrella tag as you discribed (Because BDSM themed art might not feature either, and just display submissibe poses or wearing gear\outfits). If we use BDSM tag implication laike that, why not using other tags. Not consistent

And that always tagged like that. Do you know term nomen appellativum? Artist is long dead, he never drew anything else actually, art themed like that always is called by his name. Quite a number of themes make direct reference to him or his world, e.g. using Stepford town as name.

My apologies, I was sure he was french. It should be noted by those curious that Dolcett/Dolcette was the inspiration for some of the more extreme vore/snuff artists including our dearest whitekitten.

@Swiftkill You seem more knowledgeable about this than I am, so I'll take your word for it.
Guess I'm not against this alias then, tho I still think cooking_with_furs sounds pretty dumb.

It sounds like a cooking show hosted by anthros for human entertainment.

I had impression, that he was inspired also by me and my old alter ego art, at least couple of pictures ont hat theme were repeating similar idea and situation. On other hand, they seemed be commission, or couple of white cats is his?
I'm joking, actually, it is quite posible that it was re-opened by other ways, without influence of anyone. For example, dolcett's art always was revolving around the "Cult of Domesticity" - he wasn't just drawing, he was writing graphical stories, but not many actually support the idea. Personally, I oppose it.
