It looks like hundreds or thousands of users, including me, automatically favorited post #1039 since e621 was down. While I don't mind the surprise Krystal on my page, I wonder how such an odd little bug occurred.

Huh, it wasn't favorited for me.

At least it is a Krystal picture I'm fine with, though.

This is most likely a child post having been deleted and the favorites transferred up to the parent post. As of posting, it only has 2316 favorites. A touch shy of hundreds of thousands.

That still puts it in the top five of order:favcount. Whereas all the child posts only have favcounts in the ballpark of hundred. And there have been no Dr. Comet posts deleted recently.

And I'm sure that the last time I checked, post #391224 had the highest favcount out of non-animated posts. And it only has 2022 favs.

Something's definitely off.

Edit: Aha, found it. Not a bug. post #785149 had the wrong parent set (whoops), and got deleted yesterday. So whoever had favorited that ended up with post #1039 among their favorites.
