Topic: an urgent appeal e621 admins

There are many, many images that
1) completely disregard quality standards: upscaled versions of an image, unchanged images from the original artists that got saved with an extremely low jpg quality for whatever reason, etc.
2) cause eyecancer. Shitart by 6 year olds that come to e621 because they don't know furries are all about porn and sex yet. There is no merit in providing them on e621, they only clog up search queries and hurt the eyes. I thought this wasn't a friendly, no-standards and no-critic community.
3) Shitty manipulations, cropouts and recolorings of already existing images.

Dear admins, please look twice before approving an image any friendly feelings that might change the outcome of your decisions on approving images.

Where to begin with this one...

Just because an image is bigger than the original post, doesn't mean it was upscaled. Oftentimes, the commissioner or character owners of a commissioned piece of art will have higher resolutions than what the artist posts.

If an image doesn't meet quality standards, it gets deleted. Simple as that.

Edits, recolors, etc. are allowed, with a few exceptions. That's just how it is.

You can't see how many posts don't get approved. Even if you can't see the posts, you can see there are 200+ pages of them. As for edits, there really aren't that many of them and overall they are discouraged.

Aside from that, maybe the operator "score:-5.." could be implemented into the blacklist.

You know, despite all the text you've brought up, I can't help but feel I'm just reading the script for Tusken Raiders in a Star Wars movie.

1) If it's definitively lower quality, report it.
2) Not valid reason, and somewhat subjective.
3) Manipulations (in this case I would assume resizing) and cropouts are generally treated as a repost, just report. Edits are questionable, and should be up to the approver to decide; Just child/parent link them. i believe there's also a way to blacklist child posts for this issue anyway.

1)If you improperly upscale an image artificing is present, I think you are complaining because a post of yours was deleted because a superior resolution was released and then posted. Anything that is already low quality can be flagged for judgement.
2)That is your opinion. Furries are not all about porn and sex. I am quite happy with tasteful nudes and well drawn clean images, in fact I use a lot of the clean images as wallpaper images at work.
3)Edits with color changes are to be expected, sometimes the original colors are just "odd". manipulations, if they are poorly done, can be flagged for a decision.

In essence, let the mods/admins make the decisions, you are free to flag something that is against the posting guidelines, but don't use flagging as your personal vendetta against images you don't like. that is what the blacklist is for.

Dude, this is an art site that primarily contains furry porn. We all enjoy the site, but nothing here is worthy of an "urgent appeal."

Don't feed the troll, guys.

I dunno, I've gotten so used to dumb people, I can't be sure to discount pants-on-head retardation as simple trolling until a certain obvious point.
It sucks being jaded.

Actually, "I see you met mister kettle works" just as well.

That's all well and good, but that means "I have see you met"

It's a colloquialism.

Nope, score blacklisting doesn't work.
At least not for me.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to suggest be made possible.
