Topic: Commissions on e621

Posted under Art Talk

Hey! I am wondering how people would feel if I created a quality graphical commission page for display here on e621, with prices, examples and an email contact? Is that something that would be removed? Is it acceptable in the community here?

There is also an option in your account settings to display your contact and commission information and prices. If you want to make a post describing the aforementioned, I would recommend including a drawn character next to the information just to art it up, otherwise it has a higher chance of getting removed.

Things solely for advertising usually is.

You can have a picture with a patreon link and even say some things in the description, but if the whole thing becomes one giant ad then yes, it usually will not get in from my experience

having a character drawn and generally making it look nice were a main part of my plan.
Mostly curious as to how people here feel about supporting artists who post OC here

Personally I think it's cool.

I like when artists participate in e621, and I think having a nice looking commission ad would be neat... but it's something you might want to consult the rules page or admins on. I know the general idea is that they'd like to support artists, but beyond the commission info page I'm not personally certain what the policies are on stuff like posting up a price list as a submission.

It's one of the key points of the site, especially if there are links back to their pages and stuff

As long as the advertisement portion of the image isn't disproportionally large compared to the actual art it's allowed.

For example: This would be a perfectly fine ratio for us.
