actually i'd say reverse it since these ask *character name* blogs are basically just roleplay blogs.

I'm with Mutisija on this. The artist's name is preferable because they could have multiple ask blogs, release art independent of the ask blog or stop using the ask blog altogether.

Both tags are currently used. BTW, why there is the _(artist) suffix?

A lot of people, especially new users, seem to think that it's the correct way to change a tag from general to artist type.

I see. Eh, this is probably a purely academic exercise anyway, because for some reason, the admins don't respond to my tag suggestions for the last month or so.

There's a lot of work for them to do. There's currently 265 pending aliases and 235 pending implications, not including threads that mention multiple suggestions. There's less than a handful of admins that even handle these requests, so it can take a while.

You have to understand that us admins are just humans too. The three admins that do these (4 if you count NotMeNotYou updating the DNP list from time to time) are parasprite, furrypickle and me.
parasprite has her hands on development and bug fixing, I have been doing aliases and implications for the first week now and I don't know where furrypickle is at.

Especially with aliases/implications that I don't see the use of or when there is a big debate going on, I'm much more likely to wait them out on what kind of suggestions users put in or just not touch them at all.

The one who accepts them is responsible for the consequences, too.

It's been a fun 8 months or so but I'm working on getting back into the flow of things! This is one of those areas I hope to give some love.
