My only suggestion for flash posts, here, would be to search animated -3d_(artwork), and just searching for flashes. 3D is personal preference, but I will always say they do not have the quality of digital/traditional art; The reason for animated, instead of flash, is that some may not be tagged, and all flash files will show up with animated, so cherry-picking works. It also shows videos, and those can be pretty decent, but that's off topic.

Off site, I got nothing. Been sifting through porn game sites, and including the non-furry, because I can use Puffin's flash player on mobile.

Actually the only thing that tops off Zonkpunch's most rated is this one animation that is actually SFW.

I'd say that animated Jasonafex and animated orange-peel are good pick for looping animations. (Not really sure if the poster is looking for something in specific)

You do know you don't have to download the .webm to play it in VLC Media Player.

And how woul downloading the file fix the audio, or see if it would work by playing it in a media player?

i never said there was an audio problem with it to begin with. i downloaded it and when i played it via VLC i got an error message about the audio which THEN wouldn't work.

as for running it in VLC without downloading it. not everyone enjoys sitting around waiting for videos to buffer.

the exact error message was...i'll tell you once i've downloaded it again.

It's somewhat subjective that what's good. If you want majoritys opinion, searching with animated tag and ordering by score works. Then just fine tune the search for what you want/do not want.
That's the biggest reason I like e6. If I want to get certain kind of stuff, I can just search for it and the search will bring exactly the results I want instead of trying to scroll trough art sites or chans.

Video uses VP8 with Opus audio and do not see any errors, so it should play just fine as long as your software is up to date. Worked fine with my installation of VLC (and also literally everything else). Zonks videos are also in mp4 because of FA flash loader, so you can rip that version as well if your problems continue.
I would recommend using codec packs and MPC-HC. VLC does indeed play everything and is pretty straightforward, but it does have it's fair share of issues. Especially looped webm/mp4 files simply do not even work with VLC.

Because maybe you want to store something you like? And webm is standard video container, just like avi, mp4, mkv, ogv, etc.
Downloading would fix the audio in way that you are playing it with software that isn't your browser. Also you have the whole file instead of it being buffered. Your browser has it's own set of codecs it uses, so if you download and play it from local memory, it will use differend codecs. Of course you can always just open them in browser as well if they worked like that.

The buffering is depending on your shitty Internet, as well as the servers of the website, but mainly your shitty Internet.

though, yeah, 3D does tend to suck for the most part. especially if it gets caught in the middle of uncanny valley. then it's best to just avoid thinking about what you saw. (the eyes...those DAMN EYES!)

HTML5 video files are handled by your browser, which is not something that e621 has any influence on. The short pause at the end could be an issue with your browser's video player, or it might be a problem with the load on your computer (I think it's probably this, because I'm pretty sure I've seen it happen a few times when I get really crazy with the tabs on my laptop).

that would explain it...partly. i do typically have a ton of tabs (though not all are active till i click them) open which eats up ~1gb+ of memory. probably not the best of habits but i don't keep any history related stuff saved (aside from that last 10 "recently closed" tabs & windows) so it is yet isn't a good thing.
