Topic: Tag Implication: super_smash_bros -> nintendo

As much as I want to agree with this tag implication, the 3rd party character additions wouldn't make this tag apply properly. Because, last I checked, the likes of Sonic, Solid Snake, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Cloud Strife, and Bayonetta are not Nintendo IPs or Nintendo owned.

This would be better implied to video_games, considering it isn't yet.

They aren't owned by Nintendo, but Super Smash Bros. is, so I believe that justifies it. The only way the SSB tag would be there for a third party character would be if they were with other characters from SSB, were in official SSB art, or the art was explicitly stated to be of SSB.

The characters aren't implying it, the game is.

+1 to the implication

Alright, I agree with it too.

After all, the crossover tag exists for a reason.

If I'm not completely mistaken, Super Smash Bros tag is to be used only with images that actually have something to do with the game, like logo, map, character introduction mockups, game being played, etc. Images simply having characters from the game doesn't seem like the tag is to be used as basically all characters are from elsewhere. I do see many images which were tagged as super smash brothers simply because they had characters from two differend games, so I'm assuming they should be crossover tagged instead of smash bros?

Some images don't use the logos or anything, but are recognizable as referring to the game:
(It's actually got "@FinalSmashComic" on it but even if you ignore that it's obviously Smash)
Others are just crossovers:

There are even times when it's just a solo character who got wrongly tagged with smash!:
(Seriously, the character implies Duck Hunt, not Smash Bros)
