The tag breast_grab should be used when a character's breasts are being grabbed in general, whether it's by a hand, a tail, a tentacle, or pretty much anything that can "grab" stuff, while hand_on_breast should be used when it is specifically a hand or hand-like appendage is doing the grabbing.

These posts get the tag breast_grab because their breasts are being grabbed, but the implication also gives the tag hand_on_breast, which isn't happening in these pictures, tentacles are doing the grabbing, not hands. I've noticed this every time I gave one of my tentacle pictures every time I put the breast_grab tag.

This is why I think hand_on_breast should be de-implicated from breast_grab, it isn't always a hand that's trying to cop a feel.

Breast_squeeze has it too.

Huh, I didn't see that part. breast_squeeze implies breast_grab, and while they're different, they both end up implying hand_on_breast.

I think what I said above still applies here, squeeze means grabbing, but grabbing doesn't need hands.

Whoops, only saw that they all had hand_on_breast on them, didn't check what the implication actually was.

You're debating technicalities here.

Yes, tentacles and such are not technically considered 'hands', but do you really wanna complicate things with more tags?

To provide an example: was it really necessary for them to change the tags from yuri to lesbian, and yaoi to gay? That just complicated things without really changing anything. It's the same here.

So, I see two options

1. Add a tentacle_on_breast tag

2. Don't deimplicate

Making a new tag will complicate things, but keeping the implication would cause confusion by adding unnecessary tags to a post, which would be against the TWYS rule. I never said to make a new tag, I just said that you don't need a hand to grab. Use hand_on_breast when a hand is on a breast in any way, and use breast_grab when a breast is being grabbed in general, no new tags necessary.

As for the yuri/lesbian and yaoi/gay tags, they weren't implicated, they were aliased, which actually REMOVED unnecessary tags by saying that those tags meant the same thing.

technicality is no reason to make something less valuable
being a technicality makes it 100% true so its not needlessly complicating things its fixing a logical issue in the system and even then this isnt a technicallity as the tentacles were only an example of the issue
