Topic: Weirdest Fursona

Posted under Off Topic

There's a guy on here who has a fox fursona that melts and smells of stinky feet/stinky cheese.
I guess that's one.

Coolest? Honestly none. Over half the time fursona's are just repulsively designed, and more often than not badly written wish fulfillment/mary sue projections of the artist who drew them. I can admire "cool" looking characters, but never fursonas.

"Weirdest" on the other hand...

No disrespect to the artist, truly, but honestly, this is just the textbook definition of overkill... 4 ears, rainbows everywhere it'll fit (as if to hammer you over the head at the fact that he's gay), fur covered in doodles, bits of the body that glow in the dark, rainbow colored splooge, along with an apparent "soda", etc...

I feel like there's some subtle message they're trying to deliver with that.

Like that they like men, somehow.

Gotta agree with ThatBIackGuy. Don't really like fursonas. OC's can be great, but I haven't really seen a fursona that I can really get behind. Well, any kind of self-insert really. Barring character creation in a game, but even that has limits if you treat it like a persona.

What about Sora? He's a self-insert into Final Fantasy and Disney. Riku, too.

Sounds like a double standard to me... sure a lot of them are like that, but definitely not all.

Yikes. Nothing wrong with trying to be a little distinguished but looking at that legitimately bothered my eyes.

Kinda lost interest in Kingdom Hearts after the first game but never really cared about Sora either, though I don't see how he's a self-insert, just an OC. I was mostly psyched about being able to see stuff like Hercules again in a new light. I liked Mickey and Goofy most and I liked cloaked Roxas infinitely more than Sora when he was revealed. I have a friend who adores the series though and his favorite is Riku, though if you gave him Sephiroth he'd drop Riku in an instant.

Weeeeellllllll, technically the games themselves are their own beast, aside from donald, goofy, and micky, the main cast is comprised of original characters following their own original story, and just use disney and final fantasy characters/world as settings to fill in the gameplay. Plus it doesn't totally count as self insert when the characters are also made by the "owners" of those franchises.

#NotAllFursonas

Cereal tho, I'm aware of that, and made light that I don't see all fursonas as such, that said though, I still don't view characters that are personifications of the person that drew them as much other than "oh, ok".
