Topic: Uploading problems

Is there a file size limit for shockwave flash files? I recently downloaded one of Washa's interactives and I can't get it to upload onto the site.

1)I put all the right tags for it
2) I put the sources
3) I link it to the parent post and rate it "explicit'
4) When I post the file I have on my desktop, it shows up as a small square that says "flash".

I know it has to be bigger than that, but what did I do wrong?

I think flash won't load up until after it's uploaded. The preview probably only says flash.

I really need to be more specific. My problem is, when I try uploading it the site doesn't find anything. It acts as if there's no file that was uploaded to the site.

What did you name the file? If it has only standard alphanumerics, try downloading it again.

I named it "1452100709.washa_pony_02". I tried downloading it another way, I named it "KMJCBZSp". Either way, the next page I see is
"500 He's dead Jim"

"Something went horribly wrong..."

When uploading, the white square with "Flash" in the middle is supposed to happen after selecting file and before hitting upload. It does that for flash and video files, while images will be shown there.

I have gotten that kind of error three times now and with all cases the .swf was corrupted - and they were also corrupted in sources so those were the only available versions. In two scenarios I manually checked the files and removed the part that was being corrupted which made it possible to upload them, but there was one flash which I simply couldn't work out.

So basically redownload it from wherever you downloaded it and if possible, check the hash that it matches the source you downloaded it.

As for "1452100709.washa_pony_02", that's already uploaded here, meaning even if you can upload it, it won't as MD5 check sees it already being here at post #800127 and redirects you to that post.
