I noticed that the tag for the character Shota Deer (shota_deer) is a general tag instead of a character tag.

shota_deer_(character) is the tag for now, most likely because shota and deer are already tags, and making a unsuffixed character tag can be confusing. It could be aliased instead.

Huh. Then it wasn't aliased into a character tag. I'll go fix it...

Fixed. In case you don't know, you can use character: to change how the tag is aliased into (character, in this case), but only if it is below 100 posts. if you intend to do (character, artist, species, copyright, general) : tags, make sure to make a wiki page with a short description, depending on what they are. You can do this by clicking the ? next to the tag. Fill it in with some useful information, like Shota Deer is a male blue deer made by Beersee, and (personal preference) link some form of useful page to the tag in general (like the artist/owner's page, with Beersee).

Thank you for changing it. I tried changing the tag in the post to character:shota_deer earlier, but the website told me I didn't have permission to.

That was because it was above 99 posts. I manually changed and unchanged each one. Not very graceful, but I have the spare time. To be frank, I don't know if admins can force it to change, I know that a janitor said that reason, I'd think they'd be at least able to.
