Their Tumblr doesn't work anymore and Google can't find anything new about them. Does anybody have a clue?

It would seem they went into DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING mode. This happens to countless smut artists over the course of their careers, many of them struggle with various personal issues or they find a real world job making art that their smut sites and similar things could endanger.

Whether they struggle with self hate or doubt, like Das, or they're afraid of their professional life being damaged due to their smut many an artist has in the past and will in the future attempt to DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING as they feel it will somehow help them, perhaps by by removing their porny presence from the net, by allowing them a "fresh start," or any number of other reasons.

Now whether it does help in some way or not I can't say, but the results are always the same - them disappearing without word or a trace from the face of pr0nz, sometimes never to come back, other times only to come back later for whatever reason. Either way sometimes their early works disappear with them and never return while other times they're content simply no longer having an account on whatever site they were using, even if such is only loosely associated with them.

While this doesn't /exactly/ tell you why they decided to DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING I do hope it does at least help you figure out what happened and that it was no doubt due to some personal reason.

One possibility which has been shown with tumblr lately is that tumblr simply deletes their blog without saying much, usual reason have been explicit video content or just saying someone filed DMCA, biggest examples being blizzard and nintendo. And there have also been many artists who only post on tumblr and then suddenly just get everything wiped.

If they did go and push the nuke button, then they would've also tried to remove their content also on other sites, not just their own blog. Simple google search gives their work on tons of sites, including here where they could easily file takedown.

It should also be noted that Tumblr's automated DMCA system has shown to be just as easily abused as Youtube's, as many postes/blogs have been targeted via illegitimate DMCA claims on things such as Pokemon r34 by someone claiming to be Nintendo, for example I believe I recall Eifie had at least one or two Pokemon posts on their Tumblr targeted in such a manner, with the notice from Tumblr staff/automation stating that a third strike would result in their blog/account being deleted.
