Specifically the "Humans and e621" section.

Regardless of whether or not gems are technically aliens, they look human - often only with different colored skin tones. As such, they are usually not considered site-relevant by themselves.

Depending on the gem and how much they have in the way of nonhuman characteristics, they might be accepted all the same. The rules regarding what qualifies as fully human seem to be applied rather inconsistently though.

Whether an image is tagged correctly or not is never a reason for the image to be deleted. You might get a warning or a record, to my understanding, if you consistently under-tag images, but the images won't be deleted for that reason.

the gem was jasper. but if the picture got deleted for looking too much human then why are my other pictures not getting deleted? my other pictures look human too so they technically have to be deleted too right? sadly i cant really distinguish pictures that look too human and pictures that are fine for e621 :/

Your other posts were uploaded before the update. The update was a month ago and your existing posts are over 2 months old, so the update doesn't affect them.

We've been trying to keep out candy-colored humans since 2014. The guideline update just made it more obvious what we will or won't take.

I will be more specific in my deletion reasons from here forward.

They could read:

"Plain Steven Universe characters are no longer allowed. See forum #211864"
